Everything about Makushin Volcano totally explained

Makushin Volcano (also known as Mount Makushin) is a stratovolcano on the Alaska Peninsula in the U.S. state of Alaska. Makushin is a Russian surname, probably derived from Russian word makushka, meaning "the crown (of the head)" or "top," and most likely applied to this feature after some Russian explorer or trader. The volcano was called "Ognedyshushchaya Gora" meaning "burning mountain" by Sarichev on a 1792 map.
   Makushin last erupted in 1995.
